The Forman School Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce that on November 3, 2007, it unanimously approved the appointment of Adam K. Man as Forman’s ninth Head of School, succeeding Mark B. Perkins on July 1, 2008.

Adam, currently Academic Dean at St. Timothy’s School in Stevenson, MD, comes to Forman with a wealth of experience and accomplishments. After beginning his educational career as an intern teaching high school history, Adam joined the faculty of Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, in 1995. While at Brewster, Adam founded an educational enrichment travel company, allowing students to travel throughout the world.

In 2002 Adam became Director of Studies at Baltimore City College High School, where he supervised the school’s curriculum and was responsible for faculty evaluation. One of his main areas of focus was to increase the access, support and success of a diversity of learners within a challenging academic program. At St. Timothy’s since 2004, Adam oversees the school’s curriculum, faculty, academic advising and professional development.

Adam is a graduate of Bard College at Simon’s Rock and received his Master’s degree in Education, including certification in Special Education from the University of New Hampshire. He and his wife Beth have two children, Madeline, 13, and Samuel, 10.
