Public Workshop held on Latest Assistive Technology

On Friday, March 7, The Forman School offered its fourth workshop exploring various dimensions of students who learn differently.

The topic for this session was Assistive Technology: Fostering Dependence or Independence and was be led by Helen Waldron, Dean of Academic Affairs at The Forman School. Attendees were able to gain a deeper appreciation for and understanding of assistive technology tools that can help students improve their access to and organization of information. This workshop was designed for educators, parents and students who wish to learn more about the role assistive technology plays in increased learning independence and academic success. The discussion focused on the range of available technologies and resources according to the unique needs of the student.
