Dear Forman Parents and Friends,

As Chairman of the Parents Association Executive Committee, I would like to welcome you to The Forman School. Not only is the physical landscape of the school breathtaking, it is also the perfect environment to allow Forman students to broaden their educational experience and achieve academic success. The Forman faculty work very diligently to determine every student’s learning difference and enable them to recognize their strengths and weaknesses. This focus also equips students to become self-advocates in college as well as in the workplace.

All four of our children have varying kinds and levels of learning differences. As a result, my husband and I have heavily directed our attention toward our children’s needs. This is my fourth year as a parent of a student enrolled in The Forman School. I greet this, and every year, with celebration and sadness. I have always been very active in my children’s schools and their after-school activities. It has been very difficult letting go and entrusting much of that responsibility to Forman.

Every year, confirmation that Forman has been the perfect match for my son is evident in his personal and intellectual development. He has enjoyed participating in the sports program, social activities, social life and various theatrical productions. He has developed confidence in his academic abilities and is truly looking forward to college. There are events that Forman hosts for all of the parents throughout the year and I look forward to seeing you on such occasions. Moreover, I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the school. I hope you enjoy your years at Forman as you watch your sons and daughters gain independence and self-confidence as they prepare for college and life.
