A rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum, an intense focus on building students’ college-readiness skills, and the commitment and hard work of Forman students all contribute to every Forman student being accepted to college. The supportive academic environment combined with an intimate knowledge of each student’s interest and capabilities creates an exciting and productive college counseling experience.

Forman students are immersed in a rigorous and supportive academic experience which results in every student being accepted to college. Our academic program, in conjunction with an intense focus on building students’ college-readiness skills, creates a unique learning environment that allows our students to develop confidence and discover academic success.

Our students attend a wide range of colleges including small liberal arts colleges and large universities.

We work with students to find schools that are the right fit for their goals and interests. It’s not enough for us that students simply get into college. We want them to succeed.

During their junior and senior years, all students take the Perspectives in Learning class where they focus on things like SAT/ACT preparation, finding colleges that are a good match for their interests, and developing college applications, including powerful essays.

Forman students are committed to their studies and work diligently in the classroom. With the support and guidance of our faculty and counselors, each student experiences academic growth and success. We look forward to working with your child, and talking with you over the course of the college applications process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.

100% College Placement

Forman’s College Counseling program offers students a wide range of services to identify the college which best fits their educational and social needs, as well as their unique learning profile. The list of colleges our graduates attend, and a 100% placement rate, demonstrate the success of our approach.

As professionally trained college counselors, we have ongoing relationships with admissions officers at an impressive array of colleges. We are enthusiastic advocates for our students and are able to effectively translate our students’ experiences and educational goals as they prepare for the transition to their college career.
Starting in January of the junior year, we engage students in both group and individual conferences. Specific timelines (links in the green boxes below) show how the process unfolds for juniors and seniors. One-on-one work helps them gain a clearer understanding of their personal goals for college and encourages them to become actively engaged in the application process. Links are provided here to help you get more information about available resources.
