VIBRANT DORM LIFE.
Forman students forge extraordinary bonds. The residential program is a family-style experience that creates a true home away from home. Weekends offer a wide array of activities for both day and boarding students. Caring adults provide structure and support, which allow students to discover their voice.
Welcome from the Assistant Head of School
At Forman, learning that takes place outside of the classroom is just as significant as what happens in the classroom.
Because we’re a small school, there is ample opportunity for faculty and students to interact with one another in a variety of capacities throughout the day. Dorm parents are also teachers, coaches, and advisors. They play an active role in guiding and supporting students in their academic endeavors as well as other areas of their lives.
Forman days are busy with academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The evenings and weekends are full of opportunities to join others in a school-sponsored trips and events, pursue personal interests, log community service hours, or just hang out with friends.
There are 14 dorms on campus, each housing between six and 20 students and there are live-in dorm parents who help to make residential life a family-style experience. On school nights they supervise study hall, providing structure and support.
The leadership and guidance of caring adults, combined with interaction with their peers in numerous settings, allows our students to develop a sense of independence and responsibility. It also allows for the formation of lifelong friendships.
