Signing of the Beam
During the All School Meeting on Saturday, October 29, the School incorporated a traditional signing of the beam for the Visual and Performing Arts Center outside of the Johnson Art Center. The entire community gathered together to leave their mark on the final beam which will be attached to the Arts Center when it is completed next fall.
It was hard to believe, but snow blanketed Forman School on Thursday, October 27. Although cold, the weather was beautiful to behold. Take a look at this video of one of our students from the West Coast who experienced snow for the first time.
Forman’s food service staff brought their “A game” this weekend at multiple parent gatherings at The Head’s House and the Science Center. Appetizers such as spinach dip with gruyere cheese and the charcuterie tray were out of this world. Parents had the chance to chat with faculty members, and the conversation was both meaningful and enjoyable.
The Third Annual Fall Festival was a huge success, and students had the opportunity to show off their hard work from the academic year thus far. The Vocal Ensemble and Rock Band performed hits like “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.
The Forman Dance Ensemble delighted the crowd with a modern rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and a surprise dance collaboration alongside Forman faculty and staff. Watch the video here!
Parent Education Sessions
There were multiple informative education sessions with topics such as project based learning and disciplinary literacy. New parents were wowed by a groundbreaking seminar from award winning LD expert Rick Lavoie.
