Sunny, blue skies greeted a number of visiting families for Forman School’s Winter Open House on Monday, January 16. Prospective students and parents alike experienced a positive, impactful day learning all that Forman has to offer.
Head of School Adam K. Man welcomed everyone and impressed the point upon the audience that Forman wants to do more than just help students memorize information. “We are interested in the conversation; we are interested in the ideas,” he said. “We are interested in students that want to be part of a very vibrant community and who want to contribute to that community. If you are a creative, original thinker, if you are someone who wants to be part of the larger community and help others be their best, or if that is something you strive for, we want you here.”
Prior to sending guests on student-led tours of campus, Director of Admission Aline Rossiter added, “We’re glad you’re here.” Forman student-leaders brought prospective families to classroom visits to state-of-the-art buildings and innovative classes in the Ingenuity Lab and the Science Center, as well as signature school programs like Boat Building and the Institute for Cognition and Learning.
Attendees were able to talk with current Forman parents, teachers, and staff members, and hear from faculty and students in an informative panel and Q&A.
