(L-R) Matthew Madsen '17 and Christopher Mann '17 focus on their robot during the competition.
In only its second year, Forman Robotics has been named runner-up in a major competition. Matthew Madsen ’17 and Captain Christopher Mann ’17 of Advanced Robotics Team 1930B came in second out of 40 teams in the Starstruck VEX Robotics game in the CTEEA University of New Haven Robotics Competition.
Of the accomplishment, the University of New Haven VEX Robotics Event Committee noted that, “This requires execution of a strong design in robot mechanics and programming. In addition, very good drive team skill and good game strategy are essential to success.”
This distinction has qualified Team 1930B for the Southern New England Championship at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA on March 4-5, 2017.
Last year, the Forman Robotics team competed for the first time and received the Sportsmanship Award.
Congratulations to everyone in our growing program for all of your hard work!
