After what felt like a long winter in Litchfield, Connecticut, Spring Parents’ Weekend at Forman School arrived with blooming tulips, bright sunshine, and singing birds.
On Thursday, April 27, clinical psychologist Robert Evans, Ed.D. kicked off the weekend with an enlightening presentation discussing raising healthy kids in challenging times. "You never outgrow the need for nurture. It is crucial to a child’s development as a functional member of the community,” he said.
Friday included a brand new student showcase, the Project Based Learning Exhibition. Students proudly talked to families and faculty members about their various endeavors, ranging from hypothesizing inhabiting a new planet to a handmade periodic table game.
After lunch, families enjoyed musical performances, parent education sessions, the Ingenuity Program Exhibition, a reception at the Head’s House, and lastly, a Winterim showcase.
Saturday brought more good weather, and spectators gathered together at the athletic fields to cheer on their Lions while chowing down on delicious barbecue food.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for making the weekend so special.
