(L-R): Dorothea Dicecco, Liz Funk, Ann Dranginis, Charles Kaufferman, Denise Rapp, Clifford Cooper, Berta Andrulis, and Laurel Galloway gather at Forman’s annual neighborhood Wine and Cheese Reception.
Forman School welcomed over 50 friends and neighbors from the Litchfield community to a wine and cheese reception on Thursday, June 7. Adam K. Man and Beth Man hosted the event at their home on Norfolk Road.
“The weather cleared into a beautiful evening and it was lovely to see so many of our friends, neighbors, and supporters here at our Head of School’s House,” said Director of Parent Programs Liz Funk P’12. Guests enjoyed a delectable array of hors d’oeuvres including local artisan cheeses from Arethusa Farm, lamb meatballs, and coconut shrimp.
The aim of this annual reception, which started up again last year, is to connect Litchfield friends and bring neighbors together. At Thursday’s event, local friend of the School Laurel Galloway gifted her beautiful 1962 class ring to Forman and the previous owners of the Mans’ home, Jay and Susan Youngling, noted how happy they were to know that the house is often filled with students.
Funk added, “We love to see our friends and neighbors, new and old. It is my hope that we continue to expand upon this connection to the community.”
Litchfield residents are encouraged and welcomed to attend the next event. For questions or info, please contact Liz.Funk@formanschool.org.
