The Forman School Summer Program is in its fourth year and keeps getting bigger and better! The coed boarding and day program, which runs for four weeks, welcomed 71 students from 12 counties and 16 states.
On July 3rd, the students and their families arrived on Forman’s 125-acre scenic campus for registration which was followed by tours and a grilled lunch on the Green. After the parents departed, the teaching staff, house parents, and counsellors dove right into games and ice-breaker activities and concluded the afternoon with a preview of the academic schedule.
The students, who are entering grades 7-11, will be immersed in fun, skill-building courses such as Math, Reading, Writing, Metacognitive Strategies, and Executive Functions. Afternoon activities include jewelry making, boat building, soccer, lacrosse, a ropes course, theater, horseback riding, fishing, and more.
We are off to a great start and we look forward to watching our Forman Summer Program students learn and grow throughout the month of July!
