The Girls’ Varsity Soccer team at Forman School is on a roll, and they are not looking to stop anytime soon. The team, which is coached by Kyle Halloran ’05 and Tammy Diehl, has won the last five consecutive matches.
“Their last loss was against Miss Hall’s School on October 14th. At the beginning of the season, they were getting to know each other and making mistakes and correcting them,” Athletic Director Scott McCarty ’76 said. “Now, they’re beginning to pass the ball much better; they are learning how to keep shape and are playing very well defensively. They are sustaining a consistent effort and are more focused on a regular basis during the game.” Additionally, McCarty noted that rotating between different goalkeepers has allowed them to use the full depth of the team and make more saves. “It has made a big difference,” he added.
Beyond the tactical changes and growth as a unified team, McCarty said it’s about their attitude. “Winning is contagious. They found out they can win and they want to win,” he said.
The next game is today, November 4th at 3:00pm at home vs. The Williams School. Come out to support the Lions in pursuit of their sixth straight win!
