There's Something Wrong with Katie is Forman Makes a Movie's third feature, and it's a significant step up in scope and professional quality. Students and faculty packed the Jake Cloobeck '16 Theater at 7:00pm on Saturday, May 12 to watch the premiere together.
There's Something Wrong with Katie is a horror/comedy about Katie McCallister, school valedictorian and overall perfect student, who must be saved by her eccentric group of friends when she suddenly finds herself possessed by a demon.
"There were twenty-two students who worked tirelessly all throughout the year, filling in all roles of film production, from acting to editing to wardrobe," said Sean Kelly, Forman School's Video and Film teacher. "Their work is immediately evident when you see the movie on the big screen."
"As far as I know, there are no other high school programs like Forman Makes a Movie's in the country, and I'm proud to have worked with this exceptional group of students to help them create something truly impressive and unique."
"The premiere isn't the end of the road for this movie, either," said Kelly. "We will be adding to and touching up the film throughout the school year, with the intention to submit it to various film festivals around the country."
