One of the nicest traditions at Forman School is the special gatherings hosted by Head of School Adam Man and his wife, Beth. Several times a year, the Mans invite students and faculty over to their home for a themed meal or a survey of fine chocolate confections. Last month featured sushi. And on Saturday, November 10, the Mans offered a meal of Surf and Turf.
The students were eager and many arrived early to get in line for King Crab legs. "Many of them had not had crab legs before," said Beth Man. "It was an adventure for them. They enjoyed using the meat tenderizer to crack open the shells."
Chef Matt Thomas was on hand to carve the brisket he smoked using the school's new smoker. The Mans reported that the 60 students on hand made sure nothing went to waste and that Mr. Man got many nice pictures for his Instagram account.
One thing that all of these food events have in common? The Mans are reminded how much they love having students over!
