Forman School participated in the Winsted Penguin Plunge at Highland Lake on Saturday, February 27. The dip into the icy cold lake benefitted the Connecticut Special Olympics. The Forman group, which was organized by Community Service Program Coordinator Brooke Crossman, raised over $2,000! Of the Forman attendees, 12 students took the plunge with 14 of their peers and three teachers supporting them.
“The Winsted Penguin Plunge raises funds for Special Olympics Connecticut's year-round programs of sports training and athletic competition for people with intellectual disabilities,” the event’s website states.
