Alumni, past and current parents, students, faculty, and friends came together on Saturday, October 10th to honor Nigel Daniel and his retirement from coaching after 28 years. Our guests traveled from as far as the Dominican Republic to be here to share in the momentous occasion.
The day started with a tribute to Coach Daniel including speakers Brian Eisenberg '92 and Doug Rosenblum '93, who were also members of the legendary New England Championship soccer team while at Forman. The remarks ended with an emotional speech by Forman's own Scott McCarty '76 as he talked about working with Coach Daniel for the past 28 years and the strong friendship that has formed between them.
Soon after the tribute, over 35 alumni teamed up to take on our current student-athletes in a close game that ended with Coach Daniel being called in for a penalty kick, scoring the team's only goal. Following the game, alumni players and spectators enjoyed a barbecue near the fields and a reception off campus.
