Congratulations to Alex Martin ’16 and Brendan Wilson ’18 for winning the 2016 Halo Award for Best Stage Management! Judges from Seven Angels Theatre lauded Forman’s winter Into the Woods Performance.

“We are prodigiously proud of winning the Best Stage Management Halo Award for the finesse and fluidity of all the production elements (lighting, sound, entrances, exits, props, and costume changes) that were seamlessly interwoven to create a superb performance momentum,” Forman Ensemble Players Director and Thinking and Writing Chair Lily Chen said. This was “the direct result of competent stage management, especially given the complexity of the musical in its plot and technical demands.” Chen added that these are the “premium high school theatre awards in Connecticut.”

Winners were announced on Tuesday, May 31 in a ceremony “honoring high school students for their excellent work in theatre" at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury. Three students from Forman School were nominated overall, including Sami Novick ’18 for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her turn as Little Red Riding Hood.
