It was a packed house for Forman School’s Fall Open House! Just in time for the height of Litchfield county’s beautiful fall colors, prospective families arrived on campus for a visit.
After registration, Director of Admission Aline Rossiter welcomed guests in the Johnson Art Center, and spoke about what makes Forman unique. “Working with your student is not one size fits all,” she explained. She discussed Forman’s Winterim and Model UN programs, as well as the 100% college placement rate. Most importantly, she shared with families that “many students have said that the first time they felt understood was when they came to Forman.”
Head of School Adam K. Man then talked about the power of encouragement and a community that is like family. “When people encourage you, you can succeed,” he said. “At Forman, you have a group of people just like your sisters and brothers, parents, aunts and uncles, who go the extra mile just like your family -- who whisper in your ear and say, ‘You can do this.’”
Forman’s special guests enjoyed campus tours in small groups next, which were led by student-leaders. The groups joined up again for a coffee mingle, presentations, and a panel from students and administrators. "The tour was amazing and we were blown away with the lovely campus and our tour guide,” one family said. Another family added that the visit was "spectacular."
