John entered the academic world after a 20-year career in business. His first teaching position was at Eagle Hill School in Greenwich. John has been teaching U.S. History, European History, and Economics at Forman since 2009 and is the Chair of the History Department. In addition to his classroom role, John is an advisor, serves on Review Boards, is the Recreational Skiing Coach, and is a proud parent of alumnus, James Renehan ’11. John and his wife, Elizabeth, live in a faculty house and have two other children, Vincent and Elizabeth,
Austin Zimmer | profile
Austin is a professional artist who has worked in independent schools since 1993 teaching Studio Art, Ceramics, and Photography. He was raised in Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga. Austin joined Forman in 2014 as an Art teacher, and assisted with boat building in his first year. He is now Art Department Chair and coaches Sailing. He lives on campus in the Carriage House.
