Graphic Novels

Day 2, February 27, 2018

On day two we further discussed certain elements in visual storytelling in regard to visual transitions, such as speech and thought bubbles. For instance, we briefly spoke of how “jagged” speech bubbles can bring seriousness to a character’s speech, as well as how they can portray sound emanating from an electronic speaker of any sort. We also finished watching the film adaptation of “Persepolis” as a means of finding inspiration for our personal works.
