For nearly a century, we’ve been an advocate for every student’s promise. Forman is a safe, welcoming, and diverse community where those who learn differently thrive.
Five pristine playing fields await athletes of all stripes: one baseball field, one football/ultimate frisbee field, two soccer/lacrosse fields, and a specialty trail for cross country.
This multi-use facility is ideal for competitive matches, structured workouts, training, stretching, and decompressing post-play. It includes the Risley Gymnasium, a wrestling room, a weight room, a workout center, and locker rooms for safe storage.
Located in the Athletic Center, this immense space has high ceilings and freshly installed wooden flooring. Its basketball courts double as volleyball areas, and the space is open for students to use at their leisure.
Train—and ace your match—on one of six tennis courts. Our athletics facilities are upgraded whenever possible: four tennis courts are newly resurfaced with post-tensioned concrete, plus a new retaining wall, nets, and more.
The Olson Outdoor Education Center is the headquarters of our Boat Building Program—available as a non-competitive sport. Here, students learn to craft impressive, seaworthy vessels and access a fully equipped woodworking shop.
Our grounds are home to several picturesque hiking trails, located near the baseball fields. They’re used for training by Forman’s cross country team (and for recreation).
For alpine skiing, students travel off-site to Ski Sundown in New Hartford, Connecticut: a powdery area with 70 acres of skiable terrain and 16 trails
Our whitewater kayaking team races at Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut, in the Housatonic River. This area abounds with rapids—both challenging and chill—and has an Olympic-grade course.
Perched on 25 private acres, this family-owned farm and premiere hunter/jumper riding facility is the home base of Forman’s equestrian team through fall and spring terms. Optional lessons are also available to individual students on weekends.
