Each summer, Forman School alumni return to campus as Summer Program Counselors, eager to give back to the community that supported them. We caught up with our 2025 alumni counselors to hear about their experiences of seeing Forman from a new perspective and where they are today.
Will Marchini ’23 was one of several alumni who returned to work with students this summer and gain hands-on experience in a leadership role.
What made you decide to be a Summer Program Counselor?
I wanted to come back to Forman and help out as a counselor. I love working with kids during summer camp and thought this would be a great opportunity.
What has been the most rewarding part of this experience?
It has been rewarding seeing it from the other side and realizing that being on the teaching or counselor side is a lot harder than I thought.
What skills have you developed or improved through this experience?
Patience, a lot of observing, and I’d say leadership.
Will is currently studying Criminal Justice at Iona University and hopes to pursue a career with a federal agency after graduation.
