TReK Career Exploration Day Provides Students with Real-World Insights

April 21, 2026

On Saturday, April 18th, students participated in an engaging and inspiring TReK Career Exploration Day. Current parents and alumni joined both in person and virtually to share their career journeys, daily work, and the lessons that shaped their paths. Through conversations and firsthand accounts, students gained valuable insight into a wide range of professions.

We’re grateful to the following presenters who made the day so impactful:

  • Camille Anderson ’20—Eckerd College student

  • Stephania Bendek ’22—Marist University student and fashion designer

  • Suzanne Blaicher P’26—Personal Trainer, Fit Coach in the Hills, LLC

  • Jeffrey Cantin, PA-C, MHS P’25, P’26—Physician Assistant, Hartford Hospital

  • Chaz Cook P’28—Retired Corporate Pilot

  • Tania DiCostanzo P’27—Director of Innovation & Technology, Human Services Research Institute

  • Annabelle Ford-Rippolone ’18—Member Experience Executive, Boston Celtics

  • Michele S. Slone, MD P’26—First Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, New York City

  • Anja Schmidt P’27—Head of Global Scientific Communications, Takeda

One of the day’s highlights was a live demonstration featuring K9 Raven, led by Dr. Slone, which gave students a closer look at the specialized work involved in forensic investigation.

In addition to exploring careers, students built practical skills during a LinkedIn workshop led by Chief Cognition and Learning Officer Jenai Fitzpatrick.

TReK Career Exploration Day offered students a meaningful opportunity to expand their understanding of potential career paths while encouraging them to reflect on their own interests and aspirations.
