Football - Varsity Boys

In early October 2015, Forman announced plans to join an eight-player football initiative among New England preparatory schools. The goal of the initiative was to provide a viable, long-term alternative to the game in its traditional form. After the initial announcement, The Gunnery, Millbrook School, and Pomfret School all joined Forman in the league. Play began in Fall 2016.

  • Adam Bendon joined the Forman community in August 2015. Prior to Forman, Adam worked at the Ross School, where he taught English and Acting. He has experience not only as a teacher, but also as a Dorm Parent and coach, and was actively involved in the St. Lawrence theater productions. Adam is the Assistant Dean of Students. He also teaches Theater and assists Tammy Grella with productions and lighting. Adam lives on campus.

  • Matt has been a faculty member at Forman since 2000. Previously, he was a substitute teacher in Central Connecticut and co-taught eighth grade in rural New Hampshire. During his time at Forman, Matt has taught Strategies Instruction, Thinking and Writing, and English. He has coached football, skiing, and lacrosse, and has served as a grade-level Dean. As English Department Chair, he teaches English to juniors and seniors. Matt and his wife, Amanda, live in a faculty home on campus with their children, Liam and Amelia Rose.    

  • Wayne joined Forman in July 2016 as the Associate Director of Admission. With a B.A. in History and Minor in Philosophy from Temple University and a prep school background from the United States Marine Military Academy and Germantown Academy, he has a well-rounded education giving him a unique perspective. Most recently, he was the Associate Director of Admissions for eight years at Cushing Academy and was also the Liaison for Extracurricular Recruitment, History Teacher, Advisor, Dorm Parent, Head Football Coach, and Head Lacrosse Coach. Before Cushing, he taught History and English, assisted with Admissions and Development, and coached several different sports at various independent schools. Wayne lives in Hamilton with his wife, Cara, and two children.
  • Michael started his position teaching history at Forman in July 2017. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in History from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Prior to joining Forman, he did student teaching at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he facilitated and led students in U.S. History and Contemporary U.S. History. There, he was also trained in processing IEPs and provided accommodations for students with learning differences. He was also a substitute teacher at Reading Public Schools in Massachusetts. Michael has years of experience running a town recreation department and also coaching hockey. In addition to ice hockey, he has played baseball, soccer, and football. Michael is a Dorm Parent in Beecher.
