Forrest Smyth ’20 is back for his second year as a Forman Summer Program Counselor. Forrest says he was looking forward to returning.
“I was really excited to come back to campus and counselor because of my positive experiences last summer and the impact that I saw I had on the campers,” he says. “I am excited to attempt to make a difference in people's experiences at Forman Summer.”
Forrest is not only a counselor this summer but also a teacher intern. During one block each morning, he interns in a writing class with Thinking and Writing Teacher Ryan Yursha.
“I get to see both sides of the Summer Program,” Forrest says. “I can further explore the classroom environment.”
Forrest, a student at Salve Regina University, is studying American Studies and Special Education. He shares, “Forman made me more prepared for professional and college life by improving my communication skills.”
